Сталинград. Снайпер Егоров помогает зажатому в тиски батальону пережить атаку немцев. Настоящий немецкий охотник Лотар фон Дибиц ставит себе цель уничтожить русского офицера, который остановил продвижение немецкого батальона. Война не помеха любви и вскоре Егорову нужно будет останавливать немецкие танки и думать, как спасти его возлюбленную Евгению из немецкого плена. После атаки, девушка пропадает без вести. Два года спустя, офицер Смерш Егоров отправляется в Белоруссию, чтобы найти предателя в полку. В его ловушку попадает Евгения, которую он уже не чаял найти.
