Как немец в Россию 9 мая приезжал жениться на русской красавице Алене, с которой они познакомились в Берлине. Счастливая пара едет в деревню — знакомиться с родственниками невесты. Однако туда же приезжает и бывший муж Алены — Толя, который неожиданно решил вернуть жену. Все оборачивается романтическим соперничеством, в которое кроме Толи и Гельмута, вмешиваются их друзья, родственники, а также другие жители деревни — бизнесмен Ерофеев, купивший дом по соседству, заблудившийся танкист и даже змея.

Это молодежная комедия о том, как в один прекрасный день, Славику, обычному молодому человеку показалось, что жизнь его слишком банальна, непримечательна и лишена всяческого смысла. У него нет приличной работы, образования, девушки… Он решает умереть — прыгнуть с моста. Но неожиданно появляются два экстравагантных джентльмена: Олег Генрихович и Константин Германович, которые убеждают героя в том, что самоубийство — не выход. Ему предлагают поменять cвою биографию и начать новую благополучную жизнь. Но как только Славик избавляется от собственных проблем, тут же начинаются новые!
