The X Factor: Incredibly nervous 16-year-old Janet has flown over from the depths of Ireland to be at her audition. Living in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere has meant that she spends a lot of time on her own, using her songwriting abilities as a form of escapism. Shes not sung in public before due to her lack of confidence, but shes managed to summon some courage to perform today. One look at the judges faces proves that her trip to England wasnt wasted. This song was written by Bryan Adams and Mutt Lange around a piece of film music by composer Michael Kamen. This trio of songwriters, went on to have 3 number one records during the 1990s. Sadly Kamen died of multiple sclerosis in 2003, Adams says «Losing Michael was like losing a brother, and I think of him every time I sing this song.»
This video was filmed in Miami, Florida 1992 and directed by Andy Morahan.
Lyric:
Look into my eyes — you will see
What you mean to me
Search your heart — search your soul
And when you find me there youll search no more
Dont tell me its not worth tryin for
You cant tell me its not worth dyin for
You know its true
Everything I do — I do it for you
Look into my heart — you will FIND
Theres nothin there to hide
Take me as I am — take my life
I would give it ALL I would sacrifice
Dont tell me its not worth fightin for
I cant help it theres nothin I want more
Ya know its true
Everything I do — I do it for you
Theres no love — like your love
And no other — could give more love
Theres nowhere — unless youre there
All the time — all the way
Dont tell me its not worth tryin for
I cant help it theres nothin I want more
I would fight for you — Id lie for you
Walk the wire for you — Ya Id die for you
Ya know its true
Everything I do — I do it for you
